Kayla Hrkach

Kayla Hrkach

Registered Dental Hygienist

“We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do” — these are the words of wisdom that decorate my operatory. I chose them because I enjoy a clever double-entendre. On the one hand, they can refer to a literal smile; on the other, these words encapsulate the way I wish to live my everyday life; to treat every person with kindness and dignity, even in the little things. This is the primary reason why I chose dental hygiene as my profession. I love being of service to others, caring for others!

My other reason for choosing this profession is that I’m highly detail-oriented and love working with my hands; my favourite hobbies include sketching, crocheting, and cooking. Some of my other interests, as my work-family can attest to, are pretty nerdy. Eg. I can go on forever talking about movies; however, please know, I won’t subject you to that unless you wish it!

Can't say enough about the care and compassion of the Billings Bridge dental staff. I had to have a tooth extraction, first ever, and I was fairly anxious. Just getting my teeth cleaned can be a challenge for me at times. Tammy helped check me in and made me relax with some back and forth banter. Barb is an amazing and compassionate nurse. I felt at ease and taken care of. As my dental surgeon said, I won't remember a thing and it would be over before I knew it. He was right! Very grateful!

Since moving to Ottawa in 2019, I have been a regular client at this dental clinic. Their services are exceptional! What really stands out for me is their flexible schedule, especially the extended hours during weekends, which is perfect for anyone unable to visit on weekdays. The team, including the dentists and dental hygienists, is amiable, professional, and well-informed. My experiences here have been overwhelmingly positive, and I would strongly recommend this clinic to others

This is a great practice. I am seen on time by the hygenist and she is very skillful and gentle with her treatments. My dentist answers my concerns and gives alternatives. Other admin staff are pleasant and helpful

I have been a client for over 20 years, and plan to continue because I always receive professional and friendly treatment. Staff is very consistent - I got to know my dentist, my hygienist and my gum specialist quite well, and they know me, too. That allows for continuity and quality of my dental care as I do not have to explain issues to someone new all the time. The advice I get is sound and practical. I never felt that unnecessary service was pushed one me or my children, who are also clients of the Centre. A great place I would (and do!) highly recommend.
